Service and Accommodation

Villa Ombak Luwung’s five glorious, fully air-conditioned bedrooms each come with king-sized beds, LCD TVs and DVD players, a high-speed Wi-Fi internet connection, safety deposit boxes for your special valuables, and luxurious en-suite bathrooms.

The bedrooms feature four poster beds, draped in snowy white mosquito netting and soaring alang-alang thatched roofs, a distinctive aspect to traditional tropical architecture. The floors are fashioned with polished, rich dark teakwood and luxurious antique furnishings dot each space, including carved writing desks and cushioned sitting chairs. Wood-framed glass doors allow abundant natural sunlight to stream in during the day and at nightfall elegant lamps tucked away in the crevices between the wall and ceiling gently illuminate each room with a calming ambiance.

The en-suite bathrooms offer opulent, smooth dark stone floors and either vanilla black granite washbasins with vanity mirrors. Each one includes an outdoor rain shower for an alfresco bathing experience under the sun or stars and surrounded by exotic tropical flora. The master bedroom also includes a magnificent bathtub for long relaxing soaks to soothe those sore muscles and melt your cares away.

The main living space is a massive open-air pavilion cooled by sweet sea breezes and ceiling fans. With huge plush couches adorned with silky throw pillows positioned around an exceptional stone coffee table and stunning views looking toward the ocean and villa gardens, this spot is unmatched as a gathering space to spend a blissful evening lounging and chatting.

The main dining table sits to one side atop splendid red-stone floors and is where residents are treated to the mouth-watering creations by the villa’s private chef.

With a bank of recipes ranging from Indonesian delicacies to hearty Western-style meals, he’ll be sure to have something on the menu to tantalize your taste buds. Try some spiced ikan bakar (grilled fish) or select a succulent and juicy steak, the choice is yours. If you should have a special dietary request, simply inform him with enough time to accomplish any shopping that may be necessary and he’ll be happy to oblige.

The villa’s huge 17 meter swimming pool beckons guests for a refreshing dip within its cool, crystal clear waters any time of day or night. Surrounded by the manicured garden lawns and bordered by a sprawling timber deck furnished with cushioned sun loungers, this is a fantastic place to work on your tan or just recline in the shade of an umbrella with a cold beverage. Additionally, the deck includes a small, completely alfresco dining space perfect for an intimate, romantic meal shared by candlelight.

Villa Ombak Luwung also provides guests with a heated spa and massage pavilion where you can spend a day being pampered by skilled Balinese hands to a full range of spa treatments including massage, manicures, pedicures and facials within an atmosphere of absolute serenity while sweet, gentle sea breezes waft throughout the space.

Make a pilgrimage to the ancient sea temple at Tanah Lot. This centuries-old temple is still in use by local Balinese today and was built on the orders of the Hindu priest, Nirartha atop a craggy rock in the Indian Ocean. It is said to be guarded by a holy snake and visitors can even drink the holy water that pours from its rocky base. Be sure to arrive just before sunset for the breathtaking views that have made this temple famous.

One of the best golf courses in all of Asia is nearby, the Nirwana Bali Golf course, designed by the legend himself, Greg Norman. Bordered by Canggu’s rice fields and the dramatic cliffs marking the edge of Bali this course will sweep you up in its beauty while you navigate the rolling greens and challenging sand pits that lend it a professional-grade rating.

Head to Bali’s cosmopolitan enclave, Seminyak, which is dotted with fashionable boutiques offering every item imaginable. Spending a day perusing the aisles is a stimulating and rewarding experience. For the artistically minded, there’s the Folk Art Gallery which houses a fascinating array of art and artifacts from all over Southeast Asia.

While in Seminyak, top off an evening with a visit to the 5 star restaurant of KuDeTa located directly on the beach and offering an eclectic cuisine to an incredible mix of expats and holiday goers from around the world.
